Decent Graphics
NextGen have definitely put some work into the overall feel of Hot Roller. The graphics are not hugely realistic by any means, but they are at least sharp and well drawn. The background to the reels is a typical Vegas skyline, with neon lit skyscrapers and loads of different colours. Spotlights search the sky above the towering buildings, calling players to take their chances within.
The reels themselves are set against what looks like Roman marble, probably inspired by one of the great Roman themed brick and mortar casinos in Las Vegas. Paytable and game rules are on a different screen, due to the fullness of the symbols on the reels.
Vegas Symbols
The symbols in Hot Roller will be familiar to anyone who knows anything about the Las Vegas Lifestyle. They all represent a great night out with things like drinks and overly friendly ladies. The basic symbols are from a deck of cards, and in this instance actually fit the theme quite well.
The cards symbols have not had a whole lot done to them, they are pretty plain in different colours but do their job. Next up we have some theme-based symbols, including a croupier, a martini, a stack of poker chips and a roulette wheel.
The games wild symbol is our ever-present scantily clad blonde lady who animates when she wins by kissing the dice and throwing them at you. The scatter is the dice that launches the free spins round like offers presented at online betting sites in America.
Free Spins and Gamble Feature
Hot Roller is not particularly hot on the special features front. A free spins round and a gamble feature make up the games repertoire. The free spins round is launched by landing three dice scatters anywhere on your reels. Once this is done, you then roll said dice to determine how many free spins you are going to get. The two die’s totals are multiplied together to get your free spins amount. The white dice is then rolled to get your multiplier, which can go up to 6x. This feature can be retriggered and if it is you will receive the same multiplier and amount of free spins as your initial game.
The second exciting feature of Hot Roller is the gamble feature. Here you can double or even quadruple any win as long as you are not in Autoplay mode.
